Baron's Door is an action packed game where you need to bust yourself out of prison towards freedom, it is a medieval adventure fantasy game where you'll find your character stuck inside a huge castle, full of baddies, traps and other obstacles, there are a lot of rooms in the castle, and you'll need to clear them one by one to gain your freedom, just like any other castle, there'll be guards to contend to, you need to eliminate them before they get too close, there are also elements of problem solving in the game, so get ready for some puzzle solving fun, there are 6 available weapons in the game for you to use such as a bow, a dagger, a shotgun, an assault rifle, a lightsaber and a rocket launcher, it's going to be one hell of a fight inside the castle walls, and you'll do everything you can just to break free, well armed as your character may be but you still can't be too confident here as the traps and other obstacle are really mean and nasty and some of them are ingeniously placed all over the maps...you need to tread lightly because if you don't, the enemies will kill you very quickly.
Graphics and Sound
Baron's Door has very nice graphics and it is presented in a side scrolling manner, character designs are great, and true to its medieval theme, every character and structures were based during the medieval period, environments are great, although it happens inside a castle, every location still managed to look pretty and unique with quite a high level of detail when it comes to structural designs, colors are great, everything in the game looks sharp and vivid, animations are also fairly smooth, the character movements are fluid and crisp, music and sounds are also cool, the game soundtrack is pretty exciting and sound effects are abundant and quite varied, lots of battle sounds during combat, special effects are nice too, although there's nothing extraordinary or fabulous, the game still managed to look very pretty, overall, the game looks great, and as mentioned earlier, there's nothing really fabulous here...but there's nothing bad either.
Gameplay
Baron's Door is an action packed shooter, but the game is not all shooting, there are also elements of puzzle solving in it, the castle is your prison and you need to bust out of it to regain your freedom, it won't be easy as there are a lot of evil creatures lurking behind the castle walls, and some guards too, be careful when you tread the levels as there are a lot of hidden traps in them, some even get activated when stepped upon, your character has a health gauge here, your character dies when it reaches zero, there are weapons that you can use in the game, there are a total of 6 actually, you should always opt for the more powerful ones as they are more effective against the enemies, besides weapons, there are also spells and potions that you can use, find them by smashing barrels and crates all throughout the levels.
Features
Baron's Door features beautiful but simple graphics, it is an action packed shooter with elements of problem solving, there are a lot of different locations you need to explore and a lot of enemies for you to eliminate, and it has simple controls to make the game more fun to play.
Conclusion
Baron's Door is quite fun, I enjoyed the game through the end, the action is quite intense and the puzzles are nothing insane that gets you frustrated while playing, check it out if you haven't played it yet.
