2d wimpern Mushroomer - Game Walkthrough (full)

There are lots of colorful and tasty mushrooms out there. And you must get them all because that is your job here in Mushroomer. Your goal here is to find all the mushrooms placed on the platforms. Move your character and jump on platforms or climb on ladders to get them. There is a specific number of mushrooms in each level. And you must complete all mushrooms if you want to access the next location. The game also features tons of challenging puzzles where you should push stone blocks to reach other platforms or destroy them to clear your path.

Aesthetics:

The game uses hand drawn cartoon style of graphics. While the graphics don’t look bad, there really isn’t anything special to them but the good thing is that they do look good and the animations are fluent. The terrain is also good but it does repeat which is fine for the most part of course. The music also sounds generic but it fits the mood. It has that adventure type of feel to it but it does the work. Oe important thing to consider is that the game displays the frame rate which is usually just 30 fps. It does tend to go down making the game perform slower.

Gameplay:

Mushroomer is a 2D platformer where you control the character Red although again that’s not really his name of course. He is armed with his hammer and his jumping capabilities. The objective in each level is to get all the mushrooms in each level. When we say all the mushrooms, it is required to get all of them. The reason for this is that the door or the exit will not open up until all mushrooms are taken by Red. It sounds simple enough but it isn’t. The game also has puzzle elements to it where some mushrooms are hidden or blocked by obstacles. The players must solve these puzzles with the use of their wit and Red’s arsenal. Players can choose to push some of the blocks and use them as platforms to jump higher. There are different blocks which are basically differentiated by size with big and small ones. Combine and utilize both sizes to reach your goals. Then again there are times that you have to destroy the blocks to move forward. That adds to the puzzle element as you would probably end up destroying a block that you actually need or so. The good thing is that you can always restart a level if you feel that you’ve made a mistake which you will. The bad thing is that restarting a level will cost a heart which you start off with 9 of them. When you lose all your hearts, it’s a game over. Then again you can simply just restart from the level you left off with a fresh number of hearts. There are also enemies in the later levels. These enemies can also kill you and lose a heart so make sure to avoid them or you can also kill them should you want to. When you also gain a number of green mushrooms then you can have more hearts as well. Just solve the puzzles and move forward.
